GENERAL

The “PARONTES” project is hosted at the website address: https://parontes.imdd.org

It was created with the support and liability of iMEdD (Incubator for Media Education and Development – Non-profit Organisation), which exclusively reserves all content rights.

The persons appearing or referred to in the photographs, videos or texts have given their written consent to this end.

Journalists, photographers and filmmakers record their material in compliance with all precautionary measures established by government bodies to safeguard their own health and safety and that of society as a whole.

All content reproduction or publishing rights belong exclusively to iMEdD.

iMEdD (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” or “we”) and through the website https://parontes.imedd.org fully recognises the importance of ensuring your privacy and protecting your personal data, regardless of the capacity in which you communicate or cooperate with us, such as in your capacity as employees, suppliers, third party associates, interested in participating in educational programs of the Company, interested and selected for funding, former or active partners, mentors.

Your personal data include any information that may lead, either directly or in combination with other, to your identification or tracking as a natural person.

This category includes indications such as name, age, TIN, social security registration number, your physical and email addresses, your land-line and mobile phone numbers, your bank/debit/prepaid card numbers, rating information, online search history (and any other information that allows your identification in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the current Greek legislation and the decisions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).

This Privacy Policy aims to inform you about the terms of collecting, processing and transmitting your personal data that we may collect as data controller.

1. How we collect your personal data and for which processing purposes

The Company will always ask you for the minimum personal data required to allow you to receive our services.  These data include, without limitation, the following: name, surname, email address, telephone number, TIN, postal address of issuance or delivery of invoice or service receipt, payment method that may include credit card details or account number in case of remittance.

Your personal data are collected mainly for executing a contract in your capacity as user of our services or/and supplier or/and visitor of our website or/and party interested in our actions and various programs. We keep your personal data only for the period required under our relationship with you, in conjunction with the legislation in force and based on the relevant purpose of processing; subsequently, said data are anonymised or destroyed.

2. Minors’ Personal Data

We collect no personal data for children under the age of 15.

3. Processing Lawfulness

The Company shall use your data provided that at least one of the following legal grounds for processing apply:

A. For the signature and execution of a contract between us and meeting our contractual obligations.

B. For compliance with any legal obligation we may have, such as meeting our tax and accounting obligations.

C. For serving our own and third party legal interests, in the sense of a business or commercial purpose requiring use of said information provided that this processing does not affect your fundamental rights and liberties, such as e.g. for providing you efficient service and support, for replying to your requests, for improving our website safety and usability, for executing transactions between us, for updating you on our services and for recording any complaints you may have.

D. Because you have given us your consent.

4. Disclosure of your personal data to third parties

In the course of executing the processing purposes of your data, we may disclose some of said data to various service providers and suppliers, either in their capacity as data processors in our name and behalf or as data controllers. These service providers and suppliers are bound under data processing agreements and are obliged to ensure the safety of your data in accordance with the GDPR. Such third parties may be, without limitation, external legal advisors, financial and business consultants, IT and telecommunication firms, external auditors and accountants, insurance companies, advertising firms etc.

In any case, we ensure that parties acting as processors on our behalf shall take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure each time that your personal information is collected, transferred, stored and processed in accordance with the appropriate standards and safety measures and in compliance with the terms hereof and the relevant data protection Laws in force.

5. Transmission of data to third countries

Your personal data may be transmitted to third countries (i.e. countries outside the European Economic Area) based on our contractual obligations or because you have given us your consent. Controllers or processors in third countries are obliged to comply with European data safety standards and provide appropriate assurances in relation to your data transmission, in accordance with Article 46 of the GDPR. In specific, said appropriate guarantees usually include the signing of standardised EC approved protection clauses. You have the right to receive a copy of said clauses, by contacting us in the manner described below.

6. How long do we keep your data for

We shall process and store your personal data for the entire duration of our relationship and for as long as necessary for meeting our contractual and legal obligations.

We shall delete your data when they are no longer necessary for the purposes they were collected and subject to processing, at your request or objection to the processing, provided that there are no legal grounds requiring us to keep them further, when they are not required for our compliance with legal obligations or when you have revoked your consent (if the collection and processing of data was based on that).

7. Automated decision making and profiling

In the course of our activities, we do not use an automated procedure for decision making. If this happens, we will notify you in advance and in due time, informing you of the reasons for the intended automated processing, of the means we will use and of any consequences for you.

8. Using your data for marketing purposes

We may process your personal data to inform you of our services and promote our services to you, only if we have your express consent or if we deem that we have an ultimate legal interest in doing so.

You have the right to object, at any time, to your personal data processing for marketing purposes and to revoke your consent to this end. The personal data we process for this purpose comprise information you provide and data we collect when you use our services.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data kept by us:

A. Right to access, namely the right to see or receive a copy of your personal data kept for you and confirm that we process them lawfully. To receive the relevant copy, you may fill in the online form in our Company website or contact us using the contact details cited below.

B. Right to correct, namely the right to request the correction of personal data that we keep for you, which may be incomplete or inaccurate.

C. Right to erasure, namely the right to request the deletion of your personal information (“right to be forgotten”). This allows you to request us to delete your personal data when there are no legal grounds for continuing to process them.

D. Right to object, namely the right to object to the processing of your personal data when we are based on our ultimate legal interest, but for reasons related to its particular condition you wish to object to the processing.

E. Right to restrict processing, namely the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data when your data are inaccurate, the processing is unlawful or we are no longer required to keep said data for the purposes we collected them.

F. Right to portability, namely the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, namely a usable and machine-readable format and to request the transfer of said data to other organisations and to request that we transfer said data directly to any other organisations that you may indicate.

G. Right to withdraw the consent you gave us for processing your personal data at any time. Note that any withdrawal of consent shall be without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing made based on the consent (prior to its revocation or withdrawal) but may imply discontinuation of some of our provided services.

10. Right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA)

Legislation provides for your right to lodge a complaint with the HDPA, if you deem that the Company violates the applicable laws on personal data protection.

11. Personal data security

First of all, we assigned and use trained and responsible personnel to the processing of your personal data. Moreover, we have appropriate safety policies in place and use appropriate organisational and technical/business tools, such as anonymisation, pseudonymisation, data encryption, use of firewalls, establishment of authorised access levels, processing by specifically authorised employees, personnel training, periodic inspections.

13. Validity of Personal Data Protection Policy

This Policy was published by the Company on 09/11/2018 and is subject to annual revision and review. Any changes to this Policy shall take effect in terms of your personal data processing as of the publication date of the revised edition.
